Dear Parents,

We would like to introduce you to the newly established Friends of St Teresa’s Association founded on September 29th 2014. The group consists of parents and the wider school community working together to:

  • raise funds to help the school provide “extras” for the pupils,
  • run social events for parents and children and the wider school community and parish,
  • provide support for school trips, outings and other special events.

At this year’s Annual General Meeting the following committee officers were elected:

  • Mrs Sharon McKee – Chairperson
  • Mrs Joanne Lewis – Vice-Chairperson
  • Mr Gary Copeland- Secretary
  • Mrs Joanne McCloskey – Treasurer

This year the Friends of St Teresa’s Association will be raising funds to purchase Accelerated Reading Programme.

The cost of installation of Accelerated Reading would be approximately £5000! However we feel that this would significantly improve the Reading  experiences of all the children in the school. So this year we need YOUR help by supporting the Friends of St Teresa’s events throughout the year. At the same time it’s a great opportunity to get to know others in our school community.

If you would like to get involved in the FoST association then please email me at the address below to become a committee member. Alternatively if you would only be able to offer help during events but do not want to attend meetings, again please let me know, all support is very welcome!

Additionally if you run a business and would like to sponsor a prize for the ballot at all events, please also get in touch! I would like to thank all those who have already supported FoST and a special thanks to the committee members who have worked so hard already to live out the school motto Deeds Not Words’
